TMJ or Jaw Pain

Do you grind or clench your teeth when you sleep?  Does your jaw click?  Did you have braces as a kid and once they were removed, your jaw started clicking?

Many people complain of jaw pain or inner ear pain that is actually because of tight jaw muscles. The "X" marks the spot of a trigger point that is causing the pain where the red is illustrated.

Some people may even come in complaining of a headache when in reality, as pictured in the lower left, a few trigger points in the massater muscle, the main muscle we use to chew our food, are causing the "headache".

Gently releasing these trigger points along with some other points on the head and neck can make vast improvements in the tension of the jaw and face overall.
