Sciatica Pain
If you feel a burning, numb or tingling sensation going from your buttock down to your calf or down the outer side of your thigh to the side of your calf, you may be feeling sciatic nerve pain.
There are a couple of reasons why this may be happening. First, tight buttock muscles from sitting for long periods of time, or recent burst of activity like squats, lunges, deadlifts and barbell squats are just a few examples of movements that can trigger sciatic nerve pain.
More often than not, tight muscles compress the nerve and cause the pain. Acupuncture and trigger point release is really effective in alleviating sciatic nerve pain.
